'Salon standard treatments in the comfort of your own home'

*** If you are a new client to All About Nails you will receive a *** *** free aftercare gift worth £3 at your first enhancement appt. ***

Nail enhancements are created using Creative Nail Design acrylic or Calgel U.V Gel. At your first appointment a consultation will be carried out and you will be advised which system is appropriate for you and your lifestyle. Please note that I only use Calgel over natural nails and do not offer nail extensions as the gel is not strong enough to support them.
If you have any length to your natural nails you can have a natural nail overlay for strength. If you require extra length to your nails you can choose to have them extended using artifical nail tips.

Calgel Maintenance
All Calgel nails must be removed before the next appointment.
This can be done at home using the Calgel Maintenance kit (see Shop page) or can be carried out at the appointment for a supplement of £8 and must be booked in advance.
A common myth is that enhancements should be taken off every few months to let the nail plate 'breathe'. There is no scientific evidence to support this notion. Nail plates do not require time to breathe, nor are they capable of breathing. Each time product is removed and reapplied, the underlying nail plate becomes thinner and weaker. This is especially true when the enhancement is picked or pried from the nail plate. Improper removal is a major reason for natural nail damage as these are not gentle techniques. Each of these techniques will rip up layers of natural nail plate.
I will be able to safely remove your nail enhancements without any damage to your natural nail with professional products. Includes a FREE mini manicure.
Removal including FREE mini manicure £15
Removal before new set £10
Removal of another technician's work £5 Per 20 minutes
Calgel Removal inc FREE mini manicure £12
AFTERCARE
Congratulations! You are now the proud owner of a new set of nail extensions or overlays. Please take pride but also take care and attention. Your new nails will need regular maintenance (approximately every 2 weeks). As your natural nail grows, the product will grow with it, thus leaving a small gap at the cuticle end of the nail. This gap will need in-filling and your nails rebalanced. Occasionally, you may find that you lose a nail. Don’t be disheartened, ladies occasionally lose a nail but the advantage with nail extensions is that we can put another one on for you!
Regular maintenance will prolong your investment. I highly recommend you apply solar oil and lanolin-free hand cream on a daily basis. If you remove your varnish, it is essential that you use a non-acetone nail varnish remover. If re-applying varnish, you must use a good quality basecoat. All the above products are available from All About Nails. Please see the Shop Page or ask for details.
Please remember the following points:
• Do always use the pads of your fingers on switches.
• Do pick things up with the sides of your fingers.
• Do use a pencil end on a telephone or calculator
• Do use non-acetone nail varnish remover and apply cuticle oil and hand cream daily.
• Do use the correct nail files if you wish to shape or shorten.
• Do return regularly for maintenance.
• Do wear gloves for housework or gardening.
• Do use as jewels - not as tools!
• Do not attempt home removal – you could damage your natural nails.
• Do not be tempted to pick or bite your nails
